1-800LoanMart’s official partners the Los Angeles Clippers often start strong, but it’s become common for them in the past few weeks to leave themselves vulnerable and lose it in the last quarter. However, as 1-800LoanMart watched on Saturday, the Clippers were able to play strong and keep their defense up against the Grizzlies. Lob City pulled off a triple-digit, 85-101 win, which puts then in a great position to win the rest of their current home stretch.
Blake Griffin, like most of the rest of the Clippers, had one of his worst games last week, but being back at home seems to have done the trick. The Clippers All-Star came back with 20 points, ten rebounds and even contributed with five assists. Griffin’s frequent running mate Chris Paul also came back strong after the loss to New Orleans with his fourteenth double-double this season, 19 points and 13 assists.
One of the best surprises this game was Randy Foye, starting for Mo Williams who was at the game dressed, but is unlikely to play in the near future because of a sprained toe. When Foye starts, he statistically plays sharper and this time around he had 18 points total for the game. Elsewhere on the court, Nick Young seemed to have finally got in the swing of things with 16 points, which is about what he was averaging when he was playing for the Washington Wizards earlier this season. Caron Butler also seems to be recovering from a shooting slump; he made 6 of 11 shots for 12 points.
The New Orleans Hornets added another loss to their record for 36 total losses and hopefully the Clippers will be able to take it to number 37 this time around. While the Hornets will probably be just as feisty as they were last Thursday, the Clippers are in a much better position this time around. Let’s hope 1-800LoanMart’s official partners get up to the triple digits again tonight! We’ll be heading to the Staples Center after we help the last 1-800LoanMart title loans customers of the day!
